Our annual retreat for artists was held on June 12-14th, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Retreat Center on Long Island. The theme this year was Behold the Beautiful Body of Christ.
Humanity was created to live in union with God. Sin and disobedience had pushed us out of God’s presence into a state of isolation and exile from Him who is Life. God resolved to meet us in our exile and so lead us back into God’s presence. Under the baptismal waters, we are drawn out of Adam’s isolation and corruption and brought into the integrity and glory of the resurrected body of Christ.
The retreat featured five talks that investigated the question: what will save me from my loneliness? Speakers included Emilia Tanu Chornay, Fr. Joseph Michael Fino, CFR, Sr. Eden Marie, S.V., Marina Fess, and Fr. Jonah Teller, O.P..
In addition to the series of talks, there was time each day for reception of the sacraments, Eucharistic Adoration, and extended time for rest, personal prayer, creative work, time outdoors, and fellowship.
